Hi,
Today I insert my movies in the channel list which is really nice and easy for the family members but this brings me several problems:
- There is no duration, nor progress bar indicator
- We cannot fast forward, or jump in the playback (numerical keys)
So I generate a .m3u pointing to the same movies and play this .m3u from the build-in Media Player (in Plugin) and there everything is perfect, I have all the behavior that I want when playing back a movie.
So my question is:
- Is it possible to add an option to use the default Media Player which is pre-installed in the Plugin as default player for #SERVICE that are not refering to a .ts stream (so typically #SERVICE 4097)?
I try also ServiceApp but I can just change the backend that plays the files (exteplayer3) and I didn't get any information about duration, progress bar nor jump/fast forward informations since the GUI remains the same.
Can you please consider to add this option? Perhaps by extending the ServiceApp to achieve this?
If not possible can we imagine to have another #SERVICE for this (like we can now have 5001 and 5002)?
