OpenVPN 2.3.10 - OpenSSL upgrade is needed

Hello,

I've tried to upgrade (by hand) OpenVPN 2.3.9 (self compiled) to 2.3.10, but it doesn't fire up because of this:

Starting openvpn: vuduo.
/usr/sbin/openvpn: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/openvpn: undefined symbol: SSL_CTX_get0_certificate

I found some clarification here:

It seems, from version 2.3.10, the OpenSSL version must be upgraded to 1.0.2+ to avoid this error.

If the development team doesn't consider to upgrade OPenSSL, could someone tell me how can I do it by myself?
