Plugin translation: how to generate the latest .po and .pot

Hi,

I start translating the open-source plugin from this repository:

http://sourceforge.net/p/openpli/plugins-enigma2/ci/master/tree/

But for nearly all plugins the .pot files used to update or to create the .po file are totally outdated, many strings missing or changed.

So translating based on repository .po or .pot file is become quite useless.

I try different things on my side to try to automatically generate the .pot file without success.

Can somebody create a small step-by-step how to to generate the proper .pot and/or .po files for every plugins in this repository?

So really all the steps needed after the:

git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/openpli/plugins-enigma2 openpli-plugins-enigma2
