Is there documentation for the Software management Plugin?

From Menu::: Plugins > Software management (Manage your receiver's software) > Advanced options > Packet management

I find dozens of pages with abbreviated/cryptically named plugins often with the words "No description available"

Is there documentation for these plugins, if not where can I find out what they do (and their status)?
